Tourism and tourism-related services sector form the basis of the economic structure of Kuşadası District. The district is a tourism destination that is preferred by both foreign tourists, local tourists and summer holiday owners. For this reason, it can be said that economic liveliness is experienced during the times when tourism is alive, and in the winter months, the district is stagnated economically and socially by staying alone with its internal dynamics.

POPULATION:

According to the Address Based Population Registration System statistics, as of the end of 2017, the population of Kuşadası is 109,058 people. 50.22% of this is male (54.774 people) and 49.78% (54.284 people) are women. Compared to 2016, the population of Kuşadası increased by 1.98%. Along with this, the summer population increases 7-8 times with domestic and foreign visitors, summer holiday owners and daily holidaymakers.

AGRICULTURE:

The total agricultural land of Kuşadası is 40,454.9 hectares. 4.209 hectares of this area are reserved for cereals and other vegetable products, 426 hectares for fallow, 1352 hectares for vegetable and orchards, 34.464 hectares for fruits, beverage and spice plants and 3.9 hectares for ornamental plants. There are a total of 461 tractors registered in Kuşadası.

FARMING:

According to the statistics of 2015, there are 1,445 cattle and 4,083 sheep and goats in Kuşadası. 109 enterprises produce 415 tons of honey per year.

Banking and Finance Sector

A total of 26 banks and branches serve in Kuşadası. According to 2018 data of Kuşadası Chamber of Commerce, 19 insurance companies, 5 foreign exchange offices and 2 securities brokerage firms are active.

TOURISM:

The most important input of the district economy is tourism. All types of tourism such as sea-sun-sand, history, culture-belief, cruise, marina, convention center, nature, horse-jeep safari, tracking, bird watching, thermal, gastronomy are available in Kuşadası. Depending on the tourism, sectors such as restaurant, cafe, entertainment sector, textile, jewelery, leather, food, construction, finance, transportation have also developed. Accommodation facilities and travel agencies are the two sectors that play the most important role in district tourism. According to the statistics of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, there are 58 accommodation facilities with a Ministry Certificate in Kuşadası. The total number of rooms of these facilities is 11.601 and the total number of beds is 24.086. According to TURSAB data, 141 travel agencies operate.

TRADE:

The district has a dynamic trade structure. The commercial structure of the district is concentrated on an area of ​​approximately 2 km2 in the triangle of Güvercinada-Marina-Tax Office.
